Privacy Policy
Last updated October 31, 2026
Wyndr turns the miles you walk or run into progress along a virtual route. This policy is short because the app collects very little.
What we collect
- Email address: used to create your account and sign you in.
- User ID: an internal ID that links your data to your account.
- Activity: miles you log, daily step counts you choose to add to your route, and, if you connect Apple Health, one daily walking and running distance total.
- Races: the races you create or join with friends, and your miles in each race.
- Route progress: the route you picked and the checkpoints you've unlocked.
What we don't collect
- No location data or GPS.
- No tracking across other apps or websites, and we never sell your data to brokers or advertisers.
- No advertising identifiers, ad networks, or analytics SDKs.
- No access to your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
Step counts (Motion & Fitness)
With your permission, Wyndr reads your iPhone's step totals for the days you select and converts them to miles before saving. You can turn this permission off anytime in iOS Settings.
Apple Health
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Wyndr reads your walking and running distance and your step count, including activity recorded by Apple Watch. Wyndr only reads this data; it never writes to or changes your Apple Health data.
Wyndr adds up your distance for each day and saves one total per day to your account, so your progress shows on your route and in races. We don't store your raw Apple Health records, and we never read heart rate, location, or any other health information.
We never sell your Apple Health data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, use it for advertising or marketing, or store it in iCloud.
You can pause syncing anytime in the app (Apple Health card → Pause Sync), or remove access in the Health app (tap your profile → Apps → Wyndr).
Challenge Friends
Races are private to the people in them. Only people who enter a race's code can see that race. Racers see each other's race miles and the part of each racer's email address before the "@". Nothing else about you is shown. You can leave a race anytime.
Leaderboards
Leaderboards are off by default. If you opt in, your display name and total miles on your current route are visible to others on that route. You can opt out anytime, which removes your entry.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored with Supabase, a hosted database provider, on servers in the United States. Row-level security limits access to your own signed-in account, and all data is sent over encrypted connections.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app (Routes tab → Delete Account). Deletion is immediate and permanent, and removes your account, logged miles (including miles synced from Apple Health), route progress, races, and leaderboard entry. You can also email support@wyndrapp.com from your account's address, and we'll complete the request within 30 days.
Children
Wyndr is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child has an account, email support@wyndrapp.com and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll post the update here with a new date, and note material changes in the app.
